Our classes focus on building confidence in all the basic steps, feeling and counting the rhythm, developing a good technique and style, body movement, leading and following skills and musical interpretation. Each week there is also a taster of another Cuban traditional dance (Son, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Afro-Cuban etc..) so you can learn how mix different styles and moves when dancing Salsa. The classes start with a warm-up combining Afro-Cuban motion and basic Salsa dance elements. Students are guided in hearing the rhythms and experiencing the movements of an art born at the crossroads of African and European tradition.
